Living just a few miles away in the lovely village of Conisbrough with partner Andy, Tracy realised there was more to life than a 9 – 5 job after losing both her parents within the space of 3 short years. So she decided to take the bold step and quit her job in education at a nearby primary school and pursue something completely different to anything she did previously.
Having inherited her creativity from her Mum Pam and practicality from her Dad Tim (who could always be found in his shed fixing and building. He never threw anything away, his Moto was ‘you never know when you might need that ! ‘) she realised she too was quite handy with a power tool and a paint brush !
So whilst sat in a local emporium coffee shop with a friend surrounded by beautiful upcycled furniture it occurred to her that actually she’d quite like to have a go at restoring something that had once belonged to her parents and as the saying goes she never looked back.
With a flare for interior design friends and family would often seek her advice and she soon realised she was rather good at it but wanted to be even better so she attends a Frenchic painting workshop learning new techniques such as decoupage, layering, distressing, crackle glazing and much more to perfect her designs.
So in a rented space at the emporium, the newly renovated pieces soon appeared attracting eager buyers. But Tracy loved a challenge and wanted to push the boundaries, not content with a plain, boring item or just any old, shabby chic job ( a term she hates by the way) instead reinventing and breathing new life into things once destined for the tip, or worse still the wood burner!! That was back in 2018 and over a year later she’s decided that Deer Park Retail Village is the perfect setting for FMN’s next chapter.
Tracy is very much looking forward to meeting all the lovely visitors to showcase her creations and welcomes your enquiries.
